Abundance as an Ecosystem

Abundance is a concept that many of us strive for, especially in today’s unsteady economy. During unsettling times, we may find ourselves referring back to the books, podcasts and videos from recent decades to remember those big secrets that promise to increase our abundance. Many of these resources have pearls of wisdom we can certainly work with today, especially when it comes to manifesting methods.
However, as someone who used to be a very driven “Master” Manifestor, I found myself getting tripped up by over-manifesting. Think Mickey Mouse with too many broomsticks helping him out in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice - which kind of suggests I wasn’t quite the Master I hoped to be after all!
As a result of over-manifesting and experiencing burnout, I recognised the need to slow down. Once I recharged my batteries a little, I made the space to intuitively download a method to try that brings feelings of ease-and-grace where manifestaton is concerned. I refer to it as the Ecosystem of Abundance and I want to share it with you today.
It is a gentle manifestation model that requires the action of awareness, acceptance and allowing.
Awareness
Firstly, I feel we really need to have a sound understanding of what Abundance actually is. At a basic level, it is having more than enough, so we become confident our needs will be met.
At a deeper lever, the type of having we’d like, can resonate differently between individuals. This is when abundance becomes more specialised.
If you’re one of those people who enjoys self-reflection exercises, feel welcome to grab a pen and paper now, as we’re going to workshop it…
Firstly, have a good think about what abundance means to you as an individual. Is it a walk in wardrobe lined with Balenciaga, or locally crafted apparel? Is abundance having a spring in your step that allows you to go walking every evening after a busy day? Is it a wall of framed photos, or completed course certificates, reminding you of all the fascinating knowledge you’ve acquired over the years?

Make a list of areas in life, concepts, and even feelings, that you prefer to be abundant in. Please, do not judge yourself whether you think it’s socially acceptable or not to have these preferences! I have one or two things on my list that others may not understand, but I have a personal policy that if I’m abundant in my basic wellbeing & financial needs, why not be open to having an abundance of jewellery from a certain socially-conscious Australian designer whose work and ethos I appreciate?!
Also at this point, don’t base this list on areas of abundance you’re currently lacking in. We don’t want to be coming from a place of lack for this recipe (more on this later). Just acknowledge areas in life and even emotions where you can feel a sense of richness.
An important note - it’s ok if your list changes. There may be core categories of abundance that we all agree on, such as food, shelter, health and a certain amount of wealth - but it’s perfectly fine for our needs to change.
Acceptance
Secondly, we need to take stock of any current imbalances of abundance in our lives. I say “imbalance” as opposed to “lack”. In emotional health terms, a deeply lacking mindset can lead to thoughts of despondency, which can affect our motivation to create change, which blocks abundance from coming in. According to Quantum physics, some energy vibrations can magnetise more of the same in, so we don’t want to be vibrating from a place of lack or “too hard”.
However, by acknowledging what simply is without emotion attached, including where we could be more abundant, is a genuine and balanced pathway to actually filling our cup!
So let’s continue our workshop and write down any imbalances. Take a deep breath and know you’re not alone in this. I have imbalances on my list - we all do. Mine is currently an imbalance of creative downtime. When I recognise this, I consciously try not to feel emotional that my creative life is starving, or ashamed of myself for not making the time (yet!) to do something crafty.
Instead, I simply fill this “empty slot” on my imbalances list, by contemplating the energy of creativity and being creative. I explore the feelings that creativity itself brings up for me, it’s kind of a feeling I get when I cook a recipe I’m familiar with. I also remember the joy I felt at past crafts I’ve tried, including the process of learning, as much as the completed work. I even remember “failed” creative experiments and feel good about those too, because the fun was in the attempt!
The allowing part needs to have a positive association, as opposed to lamenting what isn’t happening for you right now.

Allowing
From this point, we can put down the pen and work with sensations, to adjust ourselves to allow more abundance in. This happens when we find the balance between taking action in the 3D world, while simultaneously inviting in a slipstream or flow, from the 5D world (more on 3D and 5D partnerships in a future blog!).
While taking action is helpful, we don’t need to charge like a bull at a gate to break through what’s blocking our abundance. And though patience is a virtue, nor do we need to rest on our laurels until the supply ship shows up. Instead, we allow in a balance of taking inspired action and receiving.
Continuing on with the craft example, let’s talk about allowing an abundance of creativity in…once I have done the above stages of acknowledging and feeling into the concept of creativity, it’s wise not to deliberately make myself feel creativity amped - does that make sense? Forcing the creative process can lead to the negative experience of creating something we don’t appreciate, which can bringing in self-judgment.
Instead, I keep creativity itself in my energy field, by doing the Acceptance stage of the practise, then I find I naturally flow towards being more creative anyway. Somehow, it just becomes easier to put time aside and actually do something arty in the moment. I also notice things seem to shift around me, so I can focus on my artistic process, eg smoochy pets usually fall asleep, instead of walking on my paint palette! We might refer to it as them vibing with the “do not disturb, I’m creating” energy I’m putting out!
So you can see, allowing is a much nicer way of working manifestation, rather than forcing things.
Money Manifestation
I felt it was important to also discuss manifesting something most of us can relate to - money. This is next level manifesting, as there’s usually immediate stress or higher emotions related to finances.
Firstly, let’s take a moment to accept that money currently is an area that most prefer to be abundant in, in today’s economic climate (I’ll be discussing letting go of the powerful grip of money and the wellbeing benefits of paying-it-forward or trading talents where possible, in a future blog).
Next, let’s accept where we’re personally at with our own finances. It’s important to practise detachment here, as it can be easy to fall into the trap of feeling bad about things if they’re less than desirable. I recommend imagining yourself as a financial mentor, looking over someone else’s portfolio!
To share my own experience, I recently relocated interstate, so I wouldn’t say I have trillions to spend on whatever I fancy at the moment! I simply accept this as my reality in this very moment - and I don’t accept it as a permanent, ongoing state for me.
Next, let’s allow in the feeling of money itself. This one is a little harder than feeling emotions or concepts like creativity. Physical money is a good one to start with, as digital money is even harder to feel into - it’s simply a balance figure presented on a banking app, you can’t even touch it! I recommend pondering what money was brought into the world for. It was a way for people to put fair value on things.
Finally, we need to get into that slipstream of allowing money in. Let’s try a creative visualisation. When you were a child, did you ever get excited at the thought of a legendary pot of gold at the end of rainbows? Or perhaps a pirate’s treasure map? For me, I loved the underground cavern Mowgli from The Jungle Book fell into with the snake - and many coins and treasures.

These types of fantasy associations create feelings of childlike joy, which is a rapid way to bring the energy of something into our being. Our inner child is a very powerful evoker of many emotions - constructive and otherwise!
Sit with the image for a moment of finding your pot of gold, or Aladdin’s cave treasures. Don’t conjure up images of bills that your pot can pay for, or items you’re going to buy. Just be present to the here and now of financial abundance and plenty.
I have found this feeling in itself to be naturally motivating, without having to force myself into full-throttle mode, chasing after money. I find I somehow just find the energy and flow towards making grounded, informed and realistic choices around finances that I wasn’t doing before. And if I’m doing everything in my power, somehow the 5D slipstream seems to put the right guide in my path who offers action I hadn’t previously considered. Before I know it, the pot of gold begins to fill in perfect timing!
The Ecosystem
It can help to take a bird’s eye view and see the awareness, acceptance and allowing areas working together as an ecosystem. If you consider the picture at the top of this post (image taken on one of the Hartz Mountain trails in southern Tasmania), there is a micro biome of different plant species growing together to support one another’s growth.
Each species can be zoomed in on and acknowledged. Notice the feelings you get when begin to see the fruits of your abundance trees abundance working together, kind of like a pollinating system.
As an example, creativity can bring about more money. We might create and consider selling our art locally, or bake goods to sell at market stalls, or publish an online book as a start - or even find ways to work more creatively in our day jobs (innovation sometimes attracts pay rises, right?!). The extra money buys us more art supplies or art education, so we can deepen our creative experiences. See how they support each other?
We can also zoom out and view the abundance picture as a whole (to me, the nature picture looks a bit like a fairy ring!). Do you feel a sense of completion, or satisfaction at seeing everything in your life flowing naturally in perfect timing? It’s lovely when life gives you that tangible proof of it all coming together. But we do need to take that leap of faith first!
I feel this image is highly motivational to keep us experimenting with the Ecosystem method. If it appeals, you’re welcome to use it on your phone screensaver.
Enjoy your upcoming abundance adventures - and feel free to share stories of your process.
